Concord Pacific CEO, Terry Hui emphasizes the importance of environmental responsibility.

Concord Pacific CEO, Terry Hui won the Maxi Yachts Rolex Cup in Italy with only two and half months sailing experience! He is the Canadian businessman who took home the top prize, defeating the world’s best competitors!

While an unexpected setback nearly ended the race, Hui states he was “committed to remaining positive” throughout the race and was determined to finish at all costs. His perseverance paid off in the end with an inspirational win!

He is proof that with hard work and determination you can learn and accomplish anything. Aboard Hui’s newly purchased sailboat Lyra, bought just three months before the event, he pulled out the Wally Class category win at the international competition!

Hui’s passion for green technology motivated him to use an eco-focused or ‘green’ yacht, which ultimately led him to victory in the Cup. He was delighted when he demonstrated just how efficient and competitive a “green” boat can be. Recalling this as one of his fondest memories from competition to date.

Hui is a self-proclaimed green technology enthusiast and extends his passions into the company, Concord Pacific, which he founded. As one of Canada’s largest real estate developers, Hui’s company has made several advancements with renewable energy projects. Proudly sharing that all new condominium developments built by Concord efficiently power themselves through sustainable means.

As a leader in the industry, Hui felt it was essential for Concord to be environmentally responsible while building within our communities. Investing in renewable energy allows them to obtain power from sustainable sources. As a result, they have built twelve independent projects which use wind, water and/or solar technology to produce clean electricity.

Keeping with green technology and Hui’s passion for the environment, he’s excited about what lies ahead in Northeast False Creek. With Concord Pacific ready to expand their current 3.5 acre temporary waterfront park with the much anticipated permanent park downtown Vancouver. “We have been working hard with the City of Vancouver and respective community groups to create an outdoor space that maintains the integrity of the waterfront but also preserves the character of the city and its residents” While the current park contains open lawn spaces, a sand beach, a basketball court and other creative amenities, Hui promises the addition of ‘world-class’ features to the “Concord Community Park.” While he is tight-lipped on what exactly those features might be, Hui is all smiles as he reveals his excitement about the greenspace.

What he did offer, are his thoughts that Vancouver is in need of a “commercial hub” and we are excited to create something that will be an extension of the city’s natural harbor. Providing entertainment venues, but also supporting commercial activities while maintaining the integrity of the downtown shoreline. “It is my hope, states Hui, that the following generation(s) will continue to appreciate the beauty of our City and waterfront for years to come!”
